Multi-Factor-Authentication

D-A-CH-CZ Update (part 2)

After updating the voltage change and flicker evaluations in the previous release, the D-A-CH-CZ update was completed to now fully adhere to the latest version of the D-A-CH-CZ norms ("Technische Regeln für die Beurteilung von Netzrückwirkungen", 3rd edition, 2021): In this release the voltage imbalance evaluation was updated. For harmonics, previously only current measurements were supported. Now there is also the possibility to enter voltage measurements, and evaluations for inter- and supra-harmonics has been added. Furthermore, commutation notches have been added as a new evaluation type.

Apart from adjusting the calculations used for the evaluations to reflect the latest version of the norm, we are now generally doing a two-stage evaluation, as suggested by the norm. In particular, if the short circuit power-to-rated device power ratio is large enough, devices can be connected without any restrictions, according to the norm. Only if the ratio drops below a specific threshold (depending on the evaluation and the voltage level), detailed evaluations and limits are applicable.

Improvements

Project Overview

  • Increased the usability of column based filtering for connection requests

Connection Request

  • Various improvements on the Connection Requests page
  • We now consider the generator short circuit contibution when evaluating VDE-AR-N connection requests, regardless of what is configured in the short circuit options. Also we now use the maximum (instead of minimum) three phase short circuit power. This might change the result of connection request evaluations.
  • We stopped listing all busIDs in text-form in the slow voltage evaluation to declutter the UI
  • Added possibility to set the time series behavior

  • Added results to grid inspector on Access Capacity Spain and made limits configurable by the user

  • Notify the user if there's no internet connection to prevent data loss

Important Fixes

Grid Editor

Data Integration

  • Fixed an internal error that occurred when importing grids containing storage devices with missing rated energy
  • Fixed a bug that led to failing data integration updates after grids were copied using the "Copy to…" option from the grid editor of another projects, where data integration is active.
  • Fixed a bug that led to the automatic data integration not starting after a previous unsuccessful update.
  • Fixed non-working grid links in the log of the data integration process.
  • Fixed a problem that led to the reactive power of loads and generators with voltage-dependent reactive power characteristics not being aggregated correctly, because the voltage was assumed to be nominal. We now run a power flow with 100% load and 100% generation to have accurate voltages for calculating the reactive power of aggregated loads and generators in medium voltage grids.

Connection Request

  • When selecting a grid on the connection request page, the list of requests now also includes requests that have not been evaluated or connected.
  • Fixed an error occurring when placing a connection request directly on a bus and trying to connect to that bus. This error occurred only if the coordinates of the request are exactly the same.
  • Fixed a problem that caused, e.g., connection request templates to be loaded multiple times
  • Fixed a bug related to connecting a connection request to a virtual bus
  • Fixed a problem that led to D-A-CH-CZ connection request gathering information for the connection transformer, even if you only want to evaluate voltage change (the connection transformer information is only required for flicker and voltage imbalance evaluations)
  • In the first stage of the flicker evaluation, a factor 1000 was missing when computing the S_kV/ΔS_A ratio (leading to unnecessary detailed evaluations)

Static Calculations

  • The Power Flow calculation didn't re-run after changing the load/generation scaling
  • An internal error occurred when running a power flow with one of the built-in addons
  • The visibility of columns in the result tables was not properly stored
  • In some cases, the same result legend showed up multiple times
  • Fixed a bug leading to never ending short circuit calculations
  • Fixed a bug that led to the short circuit options not being considered
