Version 24.3
Released on 24.06.2024
Visualization of Lines
The grid viewer can now display overhead lines and cables in different styles. The drawing styles can be configured independently for lines, cables, and connections in the Admin Panel > General Options > Grid Viewer.
Improvements
Grid Editor / Grid Model
- The GIS information of elements can now be edited in a more user-friendly way.
- Focused lines are now more clearly discernible.
- The grid search for searching elements by ID and names was improved.
We added support for dual-voltage transformers, which can be defined in the XML grid file. Internally, Adaptricity converts them to an equivalent circuit using standard transformers.
Grid Upgrades
- On the Grid Upgrade page, a printable report view was added, summarizing the changes made by the grid upgrade.
Connection Requests
- The branch temperature used to perform Power Flow and Short Circuit computations in D-A-CH-CZ connection requests can now be customized either on the D-A-CH-CZ page itself by clicking the Calculation Options button, or globally for the entire project in the project settings. The norm prescribes a default branch temperature of 70°C.
- For analytic flicker calculations in D-A-CH-CZ, the frequency factor _R_ does not need to be entered manually anymore, but is now looked up automatically from a digitized version of the the frequency factor curve.
- The user interface for resetting the load/generation/storage ratios in D-A-CH-CZ evaluations has been improved, and now automatically includes the power defined in the connection request.
- Connection requests will now detect if the bus they are connected to has been removed from the grid and will show a respective warning message.
Hosting Capacity
- Added a new option to the Hosting Capacity calculation and to Connection Requests to ignore pre-existing violations in the grid.
- The user can now define a separate voltage change threshold for bus bars in the Spanish version of the Hosting Capacity calculation. The voltage change is calculated differently than for other buses: for bus bars, the voltage change always contains the cumulative voltage of all generators connected to the same bus bar.
- When computing hosting capacities for .Connect in .Plan, now an explicit hosting capacity of 0 kW is sent if the power flow calculation does not converge for one hosting capacity type (load or generation). If the power flow does not converge for both hosting capacity types, no result will be sent for the buses in the respective grid, such that these buses will no longer be visible in .Connect, indicating that there is a problem with the calculation.
Data Integration
- In the Data Integration configuration, the new option "Create splitting interaction grid upgrades" was added that, when activated, will create default-on "Grid Interaction Upgrades" for all relevant grids, which capture the changes to the grid interactions (aggregated load and generation, and network feeder parameters) caused by default-on connection requests and grid upgrades in the project. This allows for more realistic calculations on the split grids.
Fixes
Grid Editor / Grid Upgrades
- Fuses and switches on branches into stations are now also shown in the station.
- The path to the feeder now remains active when entering a station.
- Copying and pasting of reactive power characteristics in the grid component tables is now possible.
- Fixed a problem that caused changes to a Grid Upgrade to not be saved.
- Connection requests and grid upgrades are now not moved or split anymore when performing reconfiguration via grid upgrades.
Connection Requests
- Fixed a wrong behavior of the power when re-evaluating D-A-CH-CZ connection requests.
- Changing the device power on the fly on the D-A-CH-CZ evaluation page now also works for welding machines.
- Fixed the D-A-CH-CZ voltage imbalance evaluation for 3-phase connections.
- Fixed a problem that caused finalized connection requests on deleted grids to not be accessible anymore.
- Fixed a performance problem on the project overview page, that lead to the list of connection requests to take a long time to load.
- Fixed a bug that lead to the list of connection requests not being filtered, even if a grid was selected.
- Fixed the bug that lead to incorrect coordinates when connecting to a bus in a station. Now, the connection is drawn to the station.
Data Integration
- Fixed issues in moving of connection requests and upgrades during data updates.
Static Calculations
- Fixed a bug that prevented the grid elements on calculation pages from being colored correctly if no results were available for some elements.
- Fixed issues with names, IDs, and descriptions not being displayed correctly in report tables (e.g., in power flow reports, etc.).
- Improved the performance of calculations needing access to the fuse library (e.g., starting a Connection Request evaluation).
- Fixed a bug that lead to load and generation from connection requests to be considered twice when activating a load situation on calculation pages.
- Non-energized loads and generators are now correctly reported to have no power on the Power Flow page, and are not counted in the summary.
- Added active power and reactive powers to the convergence criteria in the unbalanced power flow Sweep solver.
- Fixed an issue that lead to bogus pre-calculated short circuit results being shown.
- Fixed an error in the calculation of the short circuit generator contribution (which can be enabled in the Short Circuit calculation options). The maximum short circuit currents are now calculated correctly.
- Allow the protection calculation to proceed even if there are fuses in the grid that do not have a valid fuse model assigned, provided these fuses are not currently connected.
- Fixed a alert coloring issue on the Scaling Stress Test page.
- Fixed a bug that caused a wrong load hosting capacity or no load hosting capacity to be shown at all in the grid inspector.
- Now the apparent power instead of only the active power is used to determine the minima and maxima when creating load situations.
