Version 24.6

Released on 16.12.2024

Load situations

We developed a new page where load situations can be managed. Additionally, we now show the time at which the power was extracted from the smart meter measurements. Load situation page

Pin the project 📌

In the project overview page, we made it possible that a project can be pinned. A pinned project will appear first compared to unpinned projects. Pin the project

3-Phase Hosting Capacity

We added 3-phase support (i.e. support for unbalanced grids) to the hosting capacity calculation. The hosting capacity can now be calculated per phase. Hosting capacity 3-Phase

Improvements

Connection Request

  • We display the harmonic/inter-harmonic/supra-harmonic limits in D-A-CH-CZ and VDE-AR-N when the device is a source of harmonics, even if no measurements are provided.
  • We visualize a warning when a connection request has an ID conflict (they have the same ID) with another connection request.
  • The automatic closing of built connection requests is now enabled by default. Whenever a load or generator is imported through data integration (.xml file) with the field connectionRequestID in the load and generator models matching the ID field of a connection request, the status of this connection request is set to "Closed (OFF)". This can be used to automatically close connection requests that are being added to your GIS system. That avoids accidentally applying the same power twice.

Future Scenario

  • We improved the report view by displaying the heading of the graph in the report (e.g. Bus Undervoltage).

Grid Upgrade

  • We improved the style and layout of the grid upgrade report.
  • Changes to grid upgrades are now discardable (in a similar way to how changes are discardable in the grid editor).

Hosting Capacity

  • We added the voltage unbalance factor limit in the settings.

Hosting Capacity: Automatic Nightly Hosting Calculation (Instill)

  • We made the calculation slightly faster and fixed a bug that led to grids being recalculated despite not changing electrically.
  • In the load situations created during Instill, one can now configure how existing loads and generators are treated (i.e. device deletion behavior).
  • We changed the treatment of 0kW values. Previously 0kW results were not sent to .Connect; now they are sent and can therefore be seen on the .Connect import page.

N-1

  • We added a "center on element" button in the ID column.

Power flow

  • We allow the export of power flow results as .xlsx.

.Mon

  • We now also support monitoring with measurements other than 15-min intervals. The measurement interval can be configured in the .Mon settings.
  • We now offer "Automatic" as algorithm selection, which will determine the best suited power flow algorithm and convergence settings based on the grid topology.

Other improvements

  • We enhanced the documentation in multiple places to be more understandable and unambiguous.
  • We improved the general style in the grid inspector.
  • We changed the logic regarding the start of scheduled tasks such as "Data Integration" or "Monitoring". We now start the task at the scheduled time, even if the task was already started earlier on the same day.
  • We improved the vertical space usage of the result tables.

Fixes

Connection Request

  • We fixed a bug that led to the result colorization (green, yellow) not being cleared when a new connection request is created (via the "+" button).
  • We fixed a bug that led to the default-ON addons not being considered if the grid is not selected in the dropdown.
  • We fixed a bug that caused the evaluation of a DACHCZ to result in an error if no flicker parameters were provided.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented a connection request from being saved once evaluated.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented the saving of connection requests of type "EV Charging Station".
  • We fixed a bug that prevented the overvoltage/undervoltage coloring from being shown in the graph.
  • We fixed a bug that allowed some elements to be changed even though the connection request was locked.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented a different connection request to be selected if the current one was locked.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented the evaluation of all connection requests with the error that the grid was inconsistent even though it was consistent.
  • We fixed an error that was caused by not providing a value for the limits in the options.
  • We fixed a bug that caused an auto-evaluation of a connection request to fail because the slack bus couldn't be found.
  • We fixed a bug that led to an inconsistent grid when connecting a connection request in a rare condition (when connected to a bus-on-line on a line with a fuse where the bus is missing).
  • We fixed a bug that prevented connection requests to connect to a virtual bus.
  • We fixed a bug that caused the reevaluation to fail if the connection was attached to a virtual bus.
  • We fixed a bug that caused a warning to be displayed that a virtual bus wasn't found when in fact it was available.
  • We fixed a bug that led to not all buses having the "Grid Name" entry in the sidebar on the left.
  • We fixed an issue that led to a warning if connection requests were created too quickly.

Grid Data Update

  • We fixed a bug that caused a percentage above 100% to be displayed.
  • We fixed a bug that caused connection requests to not be moved due to their status being "OFF".
  • We fixed a bug that prevented the grid inspector from being shown when the grid consistency was checked.
  • We fixed an issue that caused "N/A" to be displayed instead of a grid name when connection requests are autoclosed.

Grid Editor

  • We fixed a bug that caused a voltage regulator to not be visible on a line.
  • We fixed a bug that caused colors to reset when a movement (e.g. drag, zoom) was detected in the schematic view.
  • We fixed a bug that caused device icons to disappear if more than one was added to the same bus.
  • We fixed a bug that reset the device icon when the device was updated.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented a storage's controlled device to be persistent and prevented the selection of more than one type.
  • We fixed a bug that prevented the search term to be displayed if no element was previously selected.
  • We fixed a bug that caused the autofill to not work properly for selected columns such as reactive power.
  • We fixed several bugs that prevented editing and visualizing a correct protection switch-off characteristic.
  • We fixed a bug that led to incorrect mappings when copying grid elements with CTRL+C and CTRL+V (or CMD+C and CMD+V).

Grid Upgrade

  • We fixed a bug that caused the ID cells in the Grid Upgrade Component Overview table to not be clickable and prevented the localizing feature to be used.
  • We fixed a bug that caused an empty pie to be shown in the report when there were no violations.
  • We fixed an issue that led to a grid upgrade malfunctioning after a GDI update.

Hosting Capacity

  • We fixed a bug that caused the time to not be saved in the project settings for .Connect.
  • We fixed a bug that caused the transformer loading limiter to not be triggered in the calculation.
  • We fixed a bug leading to the hosting capacity of a feeder not being limited by the transformer if the feeder is being supplied by two stations. You could have been affected by the bug if your grid has stations, and you calculate the hosting capacity with the Evaluation Scope "Feeder" or "MV Feeder" and you have feeders that are connected to two stations.

Hosting Capacity: Automatic Nightly Hosting Calculation (Instill)

  • We fixed a problem that prevented the scheduled hosting capacity calculation from starting reliably. You were affected if the last scheduled hosting capacity calculation was surpassing midnight of the day it was started.
  • We fixed a bug that sometimes led to the automatic nightly calculation crashing the instance due to the potentially immense remainder grid being loaded.
  • We reverted an unintentional change in the API data exchange format between Adaptricity.Plan and Adaptricity.Connect. This led to .Connect test instances not being able to find connection points correctly.
  • We fixed an internal error that prevented Hosting Capacity results to be sent to Adaptricity.Connect.

Load Situation

  • We fixed a bug that caused a sign error (i.e. sign flip) in a load situation.
