Connection Request

This section allows users to define how connection requests are evaluated and processed within the grid system. Connection Request project settings

Voltage Levels and Evaluation

  • Voltage Levels: Choose which voltage levels to consider (e.g., all levels or only the highest).
  • Evaluation Distance: Set the interval for evaluating lines (e.g., every 50 meters).

Load and Generation Considerations

  • Shift Operating Point: Optionally adjust the operating point based on existing loads.
  • Consider Existing Generators: Include current generation in the evaluation.

Violation Handling

  • Ignore Existing Violations: Set a tolerance level (e.g., 0%) for ignoring pre-existing grid violations.
  • Bus Voltage Change: Define the maximum allowed voltage change (e.g., 3%).

Thresholds for Grid Violations

Enable and configure limits for:

  • Undervoltage (e.g., min 0.9 pu)
  • Overvoltage (e.g., max 1.1 pu)
  • Line Loading (e.g., max 110%)
  • Transformer Loading (e.g., max 120%)
  • Fuse Loading (e.g., max 100%)

Connection Request Format and Rules

  • Connection Request ID Format: Customize using text and placeholders (e.g., ).
  • Connection Type: Choose connection behavior (e.g., Lossless Connection).
  • Rule Set: Select applicable rule set (e.g., International) and optionally check voltage violations in sibling grids.
  • Power Factor (cos φ): Set the assumed power factor (e.g., 1 capacitive).

Archiving

  • Automatically archive connection requests when finalized.
  • Optionally archive only if the requested capacity exceeds a threshold (e.g., > 0 MW).
