Hosting Capacity
This section allows users to configure how hosting capacity is calculated across the grid, including evaluation scope, voltage levels, and violation thresholds.
Evaluation Parameters
- Device Category: Define the type of device for hosting capacity analysis (e.g., Generation).
- Evaluation Scope: Choose whether to evaluate the entire grid.
- Voltage Level Consideration: Option to include the highest voltage level in the analysis.
- Existing Load and Generation:
- Shift operating point by considering existing loads
- Consider existing generators
Calculation Settings
- Ignore Existing Violations: Optionally exclude pre-existing grid violations.
- Convergence Threshold: Set the convergence limit for iterative calculations (e.g., 1%).
- Max Iterations per Bus: Define the maximum number of iterations (e.g., 50).
Rule Set and Connection Types
- Rule Set: Select applicable standards (e.g., International).
- Connection Type Category:
- Single-phase
- Two-phase
- Three-phase
Violation Checks
- Check Voltage Violations in Sibling Grids: Enable cross-grid validation.
- Bus Voltage Change: Set maximum allowed change (e.g., 3%).
Thresholds for Grid Violations
- Undervoltage: Minimum 0.9 pu
- Overvoltage: Maximum 1.1 pu
- Line Loading: Maximum 110%
- Transformer Loading: Maximum 120%
- Fuse Loading: Maximum 100%
- Voltage Unbalance Factor: Maximum 2%
These settings help ensure accurate and compliant hosting capacity evaluations across different grid scenarios.
