Getting Started
Adaptricity is a platform for planning and operating distribution grids. You build a model of your grid, connect it to measurement data from smart meters and monitoring devices, and use it to calculate, simulate and monitor how the grid behaves.
How these docs are organised
The sections follow the platform, in the order you typically work:
- Projects: the workspace that holds your grids, settings and results.
- Grids: building and maintaining the grid model, including grid upgrades, scenarios, smart meters and automatic grid data updates.
- Connection Requests and Adaptricity.Connect: evaluating new connections, by your planners or directly by your end customers.
- Static Calculations: power flow, short circuit, protection, hosting capacity, N-1 and reliability for a single load situation.
- Time Series Simulations: how the grid behaves over time, in .Sim.
- Monitoring: how the grid actually behaved, based on your measurements, in .Mon.
- Power Quality: power quality measurements and their limits, in .PQ.
- Admin Panel: users, teams, roles and on-premises installation.
- API: running calculations from your own systems.
For the sign conventions and units used in all calculations, see Unit System and Conventions. For abbreviations used across the docs, see Abbreviations. For what changed in each release, see the Changelog.
